Living Yolates wants to create space for transformation, leading from the heart first.
Our 9-month Teacher Training follows the rhythms of nature, helps to provide a basic understanding of Traditional Chinese Medicine principles, and helps you to apply what you learn to your daily life. All 5 seasons are present within each month, week, day, and moment and you’ll learn how to play, balance, and support them all.
Throughout the 9 modules of our training, you will come to understand the 7 basic elements of Living Yolates, and feel the intelligence of your body and heart. You will learn to listen to your intuition and from there begin to navigate from a deeper place.
Living Yolates is much more than just a form of exercise, it is a lifestyle, a philosophy and a way of being in the world, composed of organic movements that strengthen your body from the inside out. During our time together, you will be guided through all the basic elements of Living Yolates: yoga, pilates, dance, meditation, energy work and mental awareness (as well as Chinese medicine and reflexology), and you will have to choice to take the end exam if you wish to become a certified teacher, or you can use what you’ve learned as an incredible gift to yourself, to change your daily practice and life.
We believe the beauty in life comes when you live in greater flow with your essence and are true to your heart, your vibration and the energy you create is lifted from. This means that you can much more easily listen to your body and your intuition, can create the life you dream of and at the same time contribute positively to the whole. All modules are recorded, therefore not mandatory to attend live (especially if your timezone does not allow) and extended movement sessions are pre-recorded due to feedback that 4-hour virtual sessions were too long for participants.
The Teacher Training Exam
NEW this year, the exam is NOT mandatory. You are encouraged to apply for and join the Online Teacher Training if you do not intend to teach Living Yolates — we want you to participate and gain the knowledge and skills you need to live a more courageous life even if teaching isn’t for you. We are confident you will find ways to incorporate your learning into your work and life.
If you do wish to take the exam, you will have time to integrate everything you have learned and practice teaching with your own unique style. We require that you have practiced with family and friends at least 10 classes before filming your exam, and the exam must be completed by September 8, 2024. Late exams subject to a late review fee.
To pass the Living Yolates Certification Test, it is important to understand that this is a professional assessment by Mikkala and Isa. You will be tested on your understanding of the LY melody, alignment, language, knowledge of the various modalities, music, intention, and participation.
The exam fee is 3.500 DKK and is
NOT included in the price of the teacher training.
You must pay for your exam prior to September 1, 2024.
If for some reason you do not pass the first time, or we offer feedback for growth, you will have an additional opportunity to submit your exam video without additional charge.

Mikkala Marilyn Kissi
Founder of Living Yolates, your educational leader, and supportive guide on this journey.
Mikkala creates a safe and loving space where transformation and development unfold in the most beautiful way. She will support you in as many ways as possible, and give you a solid framework so that you can open up to your full potential, shining your light brighter and further in our world.
Mikkala started the LY Academy in 2014 and has now trained over 300 Living Yolates instructors around the world. Her greatest passion and desire for LY is that her work will continue to inspire many more people in finding the courage to choose love over fear, and to stand strong within themselves. We are responsible for bringing the power home, and we must be the change we wish to see in the world. We all have an opportunity to create positive change for ourselves and for our common future. The time is now!
Isa Raim
Isa Raim is a physical therapist, bodyworker and yoga teacher as well as a seasoned Living Yolates teacher. Isa has been with Living Yolates Academy since the birth of the first TT, and loves the way Living Yolates supports lifes natural rhythms, lifes ups and downs and gives us tools to liberate and fulfill ourselves. Isa guides alignment and yoga with a sharp focus, depth and lots of humor. He also guides meditations and energy work, mantra circles and supports the emotional process energetically in the trainings.

Understanding Your Investment
Your 1st Payment: The Deposit
5.000 DKK
5.000 DKK of your tuition is due before December 1, 2023 to secure your space, as long as space is available.
Your deposit is non-refundable and is required for both Connection and Expression Tiers of the OTT.
Your 2nd Payment: The Balance
The remaining balance after the deposit is due December 15th, 2023 unless you have requested an individualized payment plan (please write to kaitlin@livingyolates.com to inquire about payment plans after your initial deposit).
For those who choose the CONNECTION tier, this payment will be: 11.000 DKK
For those who choose the EXPRESSION tier, this payment will be: 20.500 DKK
EXPRESSION | Your 3rd Payment: Morocco Retreat
This payment covers your room and board for the April 2024 Teacher’s Retreat in Morocco. The teaching fee for the retreat is already included in the Teacher Training fee.
For those who choose a triple room, this payment will be: 3.500 DKK
For those who choose a twin room with private bath, this payment will be: 5.300 DKK
For those who choose a single room with private bath, this payment will be: 6.400 DKK
Note: if you sign up for the retreat and for whatever reason aren’t able to make it, you will receive a refund of 8.000 DKK. The remaining 1.500 DKK will be kept to pay for administrative fees. No refunds will be issued after February 1, 2024.
Your 4th Payment: Optional Exam
3.500 DKK
This cost covers the review of your exam and your ability to use Living Yolates in your marketing and advertising. This fee is due before September 1, 2024 so we know to book time to review your exam after September 8, 2024.
